The Martin MT3i DSLR
Microscopy Package (featuring the Canon EOS T3i) is our current
favorite consumer DSLR camera system. The EOS T3i has a huge 18MP
sensor, and Live View mode that eliminates shutter vibration - a Canon
exclusive (as far as we know). The basic camera package includes
our MM-SLR (or widefield MDSLR-xx if applicable) microscope
adapter. The MM-SLR may require a 1x C-mount
adapter, sold separately. The MT3i package includes EOS Utilities
software for live image preview and direct capture, and can also be
"linked" to optional IMT
quantitative analysis software, compatible with Windows XP, Vista, and 7
operating systems.
(MT3i is also Mac compatible, but optional IMT software is not.)
