TRANSMITTED LIGHT
|
BRIGHTFIELD TRANSMITTED LIGHT
microscopes are the most
common type of compound microscope. These microscopes are the
type used in biology classrooms and doctors' offices. The object to be inspected
is normally placed on a clear glass slide, and light is transmitted
though the object. This makes the object appear against a bright
background, hence the term Brightfield.
Many new microscopes are now offering LED
illumination, a trend which we support. LED illumination
is cooler, whiter (higher daylight color temperature), lasts 10 years
without need for changing bulbs, all while consuming 80% less
energy. So, whenever a manufacturer offers an LED
model as an upgrade, we supply the LED version
at no extra charge.
