REFLECTED LIGHT

REFLECTED LIGHT DIFFERENTIAL INTERFERENCE CONTRAST (DIC) is an interference technique which relies on Reflected Polarized illumination.  Like Transmitted Light DIC, Wollaston prisms modify the normal extinction resulting from the crossed polarizers to create a 3D effect of the specimen's surface.  The DIC prisms are usually built in to the nosepiece and can engaged or disengaged as needed.

The microscope(s) below have been selected from our extensive inventory as examples of the type of instruments we sell.   Martin Microscope is not necessarily an authorized dealer for all products shown.  Price is listed for reference only and is subject to change without notice - please contact us for complete specifications, current price and availability.  The images to the right were actually taken through the microscopes pictured using a consumer digital camera and MM Series Adapter.
