Wild M5APO BD, Used

The Swiss Wild M5APO stereomicroscope has been a favorite of researchers for a generation.  The rare Apochromat 1x objective lens is optically superior to the standard M5A.  Per the Wild brochure dated 1980, "The WILD M5 APO Stereomicroscope has been developed for research and investigations calling for highest accuracy and requiring the maximum information content to be exploited.  The instrument fulfils stringent conditions of sharpness, contrast, resolution and colour fidelity.  Its objective is the Apochromat, an optical masterpiece by Wild Heerbrugg and an innovation in stereomicroscopy.  The total correction of residual chromatic aberration is the result of extensive calculations and is achieved by using high-quality special glasses and applying the most advanced technology."

This one comes with a Wild brightfield / darkfield halogen transmitted light stand with Ludl power supply, and a Wild 1.25x phototube with dual iris control and ISO 38mm photoport.  The CMO (common main objective) modular design allows the addition of components such as a drawing tube (camera lucida), sold separately.
